Design & Details
The Koro pillow is uniquely crafted from vintage Indonesian Ikat textile from Ende, Flores. Its deep brown base is beautifully embellished with a rust-colored pattern, achieving a naturally faded, antique look that adds charm and heritage to any space. With an ethnic geometric flower design, it seamlessly integrates with vintage-style decor and complements lighter neutral colors. This must-have vintage fabric pillow is ideal for layering, mixing, and matching on sofas, beds, or chairs.
Ikat from Ende is renowned for its intricate designs and vibrant colors, rooted in centuries-old traditions of Indonesian weaving. Each piece is meticulously handwoven by skilled artisans, and dyed using natural plant dyes, often taking anywhere from 2 - 6 months per piece to complete, making it a unique work of art. Ikat patterns of weaving are handed down as a taught skill - it is a rare art in decline. We feel very fortunate to be able to source & support this art, in our own indirect way.
