The Turi is a one-of-a-kind pillow made from old, hand-woven vintage Indonesian Ikat textile from Ende in rust, ecru and black tones. This vintage fabric pillow is an ideal accent to mix, match, and layer on sofas, beds, or chairs.
Ikat from Ende is renowned for its intricate designs and vibrant colors, rooted in centuries-old traditions of Indonesian weaving. Each piece is meticulously handwoven by skilled artisans, and dyed using natural plant dyes, often taking anywhere from 2 - 6 months per piece to complete, making it a unique work of art. Ikat patterns of weaving are handed down as a taught skill - it is a rare art in decline. We feel very fortunate to be able to source & support this art, in our own indirect way.
Care Instructions: Dry clean or spot cleaning only is recommended.
